What is OLG Keno?

OLG Keno is a popular lottery game offered by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), allowing players to bet on numbers drawn from a pool. This game has gained significant attention due to its OLG Keno Ontario unique rules, exciting gameplay, and potential for substantial winnings.

Gameplay Overview

In OLG Keno, participants select one or more numbers between 1 and 80 from the available pool. The objective is to match as many of these selected numbers with those drawn randomly in each game. Each game has a set number of balls (between 5 and 15), which are drawn from the same pool used for number selection.

Game Structure

An OLG Keno game consists of three primary components: Draw, Payouts, and Bonus Ball. Understanding these elements is essential to grasp how OLG Keno operates:

  • Draw : In each draw, a random set of balls (from 5-15) is selected from the pool of numbers. The outcome depends on which numbers were drawn.
  • Payouts : Depending on the number and combination of matching numbers chosen by players in each game’s Draw, participants can win cash prizes based on pre-determined payout tables. These payouts vary depending on how many balls match or are “called” during a draw.
  • Bonus Ball : The final part is called the Bonus Ball (BB), which represents an additional randomly drawn number from 1 to 80. If no numbers were chosen by the player, it’s possible that they might win something if the bonus ball hits.

Bet Types and Odds

OLG Keno offers several bet types:

  • Regular Bet : Players select their own set of numbers.
  • Pick-3/4/5 : Participants choose a set number from 1 to 20, but in addition to being called they can also hit as bonus balls with any winning combination. For example pick three players will win if at least one ball is between the drawn range (with more numbers adding higher stakes).
  • All-In-Bet : Players select all numbers except for the Bonus Ball; their payouts depend solely upon how many are selected.
  • Pick-Any-Ball : They can choose as few or as much number between 1 and 80, from 5 up to any total of fifteen balls drawn.

The payout odds change based on whether players choose one, two, three or more numbers out of their draw combination with bonus ball value being used when needed.
